Job summary

Virtue Integrated Elder Care is recruiting Healthcare Assistants for the South Dublin region across Altadore Nursing Home, The Four Ferns Nursing Home, The Fern Dean Nursing Home and The Fern Dean Stepaside. This is a permanent, full-time role offering 39 hours per week and a salary of €32,691 per annum.

You will support residents with daily living activities, assist in training care staff, and coordinate admissions with the Unit PIC and CNM to ensure residents feel welcome and secure while

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare or equivalent.
• 2+ years elder care experience.
• Excellent communication and care skills.

We are currently recruiting for Healthcare Assistants in the South Dublin Region.

Locations:

• Altadore Nursing Home, Glenageary, Co Dublin.
• The Four Ferns Nursing Home, Foxrock, Co Dublin.
• The Fern Dean Nursing Home, Blackrock, Co Dublin.
• The Fern Dean Stepaside, Stepaside Lane, Co. Dublin.

Contract Type:

Permanent, fulltime - 39 hours per week.

Salary/Pay:

€32,691 per annum

Duties Include:

• Contribute to and enhance the quality of resident activities and events.
• To supervise and assist with the training and development of care assistants and appraise staff as requested.
• By liaising with the Unit PIC and CNM ensure that adequate arrangements are made for the reception of new Residents, and that they are made to feel welcome and secure.
• Ensure highest quality care is delivered by Healthcare Assistants to assigned residents.
• Participate in assigned and delegated tasks involving direct care and all activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of your line manager e.g., washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, dining, social activities, conversation, communication support and all other aspects of daily living
• Support the nursing staff in the organizing of day-to-day allocation of work.

Requirements:

• QQI Level 5 Award - Healthcare or equivalent
• Excellent track record as a high performing Healthcare worker
• Elder care experience. (2 years + experience)
• Ability to motivate, supervise and inspire colleagues.
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent personal care abilities
