Job summary

STOREY BROE NURSING SERVICE LIMITED is seeking caregivers to support residents in multiple locations in Ireland. The role focuses on helping with daily living activities, delivering high-quality person-centred care, and maintaining a respectful, dignified environment for residents at Sonas Nursing Home and related facilities.

Qualifications

• Must have started or completed FETAC/QQI Major Award Level 5 in Healthcare or related field, or equivalent.
• Modules in Care of the Older Person, Infection Prevention & Control, Nutrition, and Palliative Care Support are desirable.
• Current and valid Infection Control, Manual Handling, and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults certificates (training can be provided if required).

Responsibilities

• Support residents in fulfiling activities of daily living, enabling independence.
• Deliver a high standard of person-centred care reflecting privacy, dignity and respect.
• Establish and maintain relationships with residents based on respect and equality.
• Promote and practice the ethos of person-centred care.
• Participate in organising and carrying out social outings and in-house activities.
• Maintain residents’ dining rooms, living areas and bedrooms in a neat, presentable, hygienic state.

Support and assist residents in fulfiling activities of daily living, enabling them to be as independent as possible.

Deliver a high standard of person-centred care, ensuring all practices reflect the privacy, dignity, and respect of our residents.

Establish and maintain relationships with residents based on respect and equality.

Promote, encourage, and practice the ethos of person-centred care.

Participate in organising and carrying out social outings and in-house activities.

Maintain residents’ dining rooms, living areas, and bedrooms in a neat, presentable, and hygienic state.

Education & Qualifications
