Job summary

Sonas Nursing Homes Management Co. Ltd. is seeking compassionate care staff to support residents across multiple locations in Ireland. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred care and assisting with daily living activities.

Successful candidates may be assigned to any of the Sonas Nursing Homes locations; training in infection control and safeguarding is provided, with emphasis on dignity, respect, and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must have started or completed FETAC/QQI Major Award Level 5 in Healthcare or related field, or equivalent.
• Desirable modules: Care of the Older Person, Infection Prevention & Control, Nutrition, Palliative Care Support.
• Current and valid Infection Control, Manual Handling, and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults certificates (training can be provided if required).

Responsibilities

• Support and assist residents in fulfilling activities of daily living, enabling them to be as independent as possible.
• Deliver a high standard of person-centred care, ensuring all practices reflect the privacy, dignity, and respect of our residents.
• Establish and maintain relationships with residents based on respect and equality.
• Promote, encourage, and practice the ethos of person-centred care.
• Participate in organising and carrying out social outings and in-house activities.
• Maintain residents’ dining rooms, living areas, and bedrooms in a neat, presentable, and hygienic state.
