Job summary

Sonas Asset Holdings Ltd. in Ireland seeks a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support residents across our network of nursing homes in Clonmel and other locations. You will help with daily living, dignity and privacy, and participate in activities to enhance quality of life.

The role requires completion of Level 5 healthcare qualifications and current safeguarding certificates. Training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have started or completed FETAC/QQI Major Award Level 5 in Healthcare or related field, or equivalent.
• Modules in Care of the Older Person, Infection Prevention & Control, Nutrition, and Palliative Care Support are desirable.
• Current and valid Infection Control, Manual Handling, and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults Certificates (training can be provided if required).

• Deliver a high standard of person-centred care, ensuring all practices reflect the privacy, dignity, and respect of our residents.
• Establish and maintain relationships with residents based on respect and equality.
• Promote, encourage, and practice the ethos of person-centred care.
• Participate in organising and carrying out social outings and in-house activities.
• Maintain residents’ dining rooms, living areas, and bedrooms in a neat, presentable, and hygienic state.
