Job summary

Green Care are seeking enthusiastic healthcare assistants to support daily care for nursing home residents. This role requires flexibility to cover relief shifts in North County Dublin, and candidates must be willing to travel to relevant nursing homes.

Basic pay rate is EUR 19.00 per hour. Duties include supporting activities of daily living, supervising and training care assistants, liaising with the nursing team, and delivering high-quality care under supervision.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and personal care abilities.
• Older adult care experience (2+ years) desired.
• Ability to motivate, supervise and inspire colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities for residents under supervision.
• Assist with activities and social events to enhance quality of life.
• Supervise and help train care assistants; appraise staff as requested.
• Coordinate with nursing team to arrange welcome and care for new residents.
• Organise day-to-day allocation of work with the nursing staff.

Green Care are seeking enthusiastic healthcare assistants to assist in the daily delivery of high-quality care for nursing home residents.

This role requires flexibility for if and when relief work in North County Dublin. Candidates must be able to travel to relevant nursing homes.

Basic pay rate: EUR 19.00 per hour.

Duties Include:

• Contribute to and enhance the quality of resident activities and events.
• To supervise and assist with the training and development of care assistants and appraise staff as requested.
• By liaising with the nursing team to ensure that adequate arrangements are made for the reception of new Residents, and that they are made to feel welcome and secure.
• Ensure highest quality care is delivered by Healthcare Assistants to assigned residents.
• Participate in assigned and delegated tasks involving direct care and all activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of your line manager e.g., washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, dining, social activities, conversation, communication support and all other aspects of daily living
• Support the nursing staff in the organizing of day-to-day allocation of work.

Requirements:

• QQI Level 5 Award - Healthcare or equivalent
• Excellent track record as a high performing Healthcare worker
• Older adult care experience. (2 years + experience) - desired
• Ability to motivate, supervise and inspire colleagues.
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent personal care abilities

OR

Nursing Degree / Allied Health Degree / Relevant Healthcare Degree
