Job summary

CareChoice Designated Activity Company is seeking dedicated healthcare support staff across multiple facilities in Ireland. You will support the nursing team to deliver holistic resident care, ensuring personal needs are met with dignity, assisting with feeding and mobility, and helping with transfers and end-of-life care where appropriate.

The role requires QQI/FETAC Health Care Support or equivalent, at least 2 years in a healthcare setting, and a willingness to undertake training within 12

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare role/environment is required.
• Willingness to undertake training to obtain qualification within 12 months.
• Ability to work varied shifts including days and nights.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursing staff in providing holistic care to residents.
• Maintain residents' personal care with dignity.
• Assist with eating and drinking per nutritional needs.
• Assist residents with mobility and transfers.
• Escort residents and participate in End-of-Life care.
• Perform any duties deemed necessary by nurse and management.

Responsibilities and Duties:Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to our residents.Ensuring resident's personal care requirements are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the resident's dignity at all times.Assisting residents with eating and drinking in line with their nutritional requirements.Assisting residents with mobilising as appropriate.Escorting or/and transferring residents as directed by the Nursing staff.Assisting in End‑of‑Life Care.Any other duties deemed necessary by nurse and management.Qualifications and Skills:QQI/FETAC qualification in Health Care Support or equivalent e.g a nursing degree.At least 2 years experience in a Healthcare role/environment.Preparedness to undertake training and obtain the necessary qualification within 12 months of commencement.Availability to work varied shift patterns, days & nights across Monday to Sunday is essential.Practical experience in a caring capacity desired.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Professional, caring, and empathetic nature.Be comfortable working in a sometimes, challenging environment.Applicant must have a good command of the English language.
