Job summary

SSA Group in Cork is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead the H&S function on site and guide the safety team within a growing renewables company. The role focuses on developing and enforcing health & safety policies, ensuring compliance, and driving a strong safety culture.

You will manage Health & Safety on site, lead audits, deliver training, and report on safety performance, with a competitive salary package in the €70,000–€80,000 range DOE.

• Relevant Health & Safety / EHS Qualification.
• Strong communication skills.
• 3-5 years Health & Safety Experience Desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health & Safety policies and procedures across site operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, legislation through regular audits, inspections, and reporting.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses, implementing corrective and preventive actions where required.
• Deliver Health & Safety training and awareness programmes to employees, contractors, and site visitors to promote a strong safety culture.
• Monitor operational activities to identify potential hazards and environmental impacts, driving initiatives to improve safety performance and sustainability outcomes.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, external auditors, and internal stakeholders regarding compliance matters, permits, and environmental reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate Health & Safety documentation, KPIs, and records, while preparing management reports and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
