Job summary

KM Lynskey seeks an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the Group Health & Safety function and support project teams across Ireland and Europe. This role will oversee Advisors, training, and competency, ensuring records are up to date and compliant across multiple locations.

Ideal candidates will have 8–10 years in construction H&S, a NEBOSH or equivalent qualification, and proven ability to coordinate teams across jurisdictions, with willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Recognised Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH or equivalent.
• Ideally 8–10 years' experience in construction Health & Safety.
• Experience managing or supervising Health & Safety Advisors / Safety Officers.
• Experience working across multiple projects and jurisdictions is advantageous.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Ireland and Europe as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support the Health & Safety Advisors across the Group, providing guidance and ensuring consistent standards across all projects.
• Provide Health & Safety support and advice to management, project teams and employees across Ireland and Europe.
• Ensure KM Lynskey Health & Safety policies, procedures and standards are implemented and maintained across all projects.
• Take overall responsibility for the Health & Safety training and competency of new starters, ensuring all required inductions, training and certifications are identified and completed.
• Oversee ongoing Health & Safety training requirements for employees across the Group, including refresher training and certification renewals.
• Maintain overall responsibility for the safety training matrix and Skillko system, ensuring training records, competencies and certifications are accurate and kept up to date.
• Monitor training and certification expiry dates and ensure required refresher training or renewals are arranged before expiry.

KM Lynskey is a well-established contractor with a strong project pipeline across Ireland and Europe, operating in both main contracting and specialist fit-out.

Due to continued growth across our Irish and European operations, KM Lynskey is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the Group Health & Safety function and support our project teams across multiple locations.

The Role

Reporting to senior management, the Health & Safety Manager will have overall responsibility for Health & Safety across the Group, including the management and support of Health & Safety Advisors working across projects in Ireland and Europe.

The role will also have overall responsibility for Health & Safety training, competency and certification, ensuring training requirements and records are effectively managed and kept up to date across the business.

  Skills Required

  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.
  • Proven experience managing Health & Safety across multiple construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction Health & Safety legislation, risk management and safe systems of work.
  • Strong organisational, communication and reporting skills.
  • Experience managing training, competency and certification requirements.
  • Knowledge of Skillko or a similar training management system is an advantage.
  • Ability to support and coordinate teams across multiple locations.

  Education & Experience Required

  • Recognised Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH or equivalent.
  • Ideally 8–10 years' experience in construction Health & Safety.
