The role reports to the Senior Director team and oversees Area Manager and Store Management, driving commercial and operational performance for the store estate.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience within fashion retail is essential.
• Multi-site experience at Head of Retail or equivalent level.
• Strong P&L knowledge across sales, margin and profitability.
• Exceptional people leadership and coaching experience.
• Good knowledge of fashion/product and visual merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall store performance across sales, profit, margin, labour, productivity and costs.
• Coach and develop Area Manager and senior store leaders.

Our client a successful fashion retail chain is seeking to recruit a Head of Retail & Operations to join the business.

This is a senior multi-site leadership role for an accomplished fashion retail professional with strong commercial instincts, exceptional people leadership and a passion for product, customer experience and operational excellence.

Reporting to the Senior Director team senior leadership and leading through an Area Manager and Store Management, you will take overall responsibility for the commercial and operational performance of the store estate.

Based out of Dublin

Key Responsibilities for the role of Head of Retail and Operations

• Lead overall store performance across sales, profit, margin, labour, productivity and costs.
• Lead, coach and develop the Area Manager and senior store leadership teams.
• Drive exceptional store standards, visual merchandising and commercial product presentation.
• Champion a premium, customer-first service culture across all locations.
• Analyse trading performance and KPIs, identifying opportunities to increase sales, margin and profitability.
• Drive operational efficiencies across stores, with particular focus on stock flow, deliveries, replenishment, stockrooms and product availability.
• Partner with Buying, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance and HR to improve overall business performance.
• Lead workforce planning, succession and talent development across the retail operation.
• Continuously improve processes, productivity and ways of working across the store estate.

Experience you will bring

• Significant senior leadership experience within fashion retail is essential.
• Multi-site experience at Head of Retail, Senior Regional Manager, Regional Manager or equivalent level.
• Strong fashion and product knowledge with excellent visual and commercial judgement.
• Proven experience delivering premium customer service and outstanding store standards.
• Strong P&L knowledge across sales, margin, payroll, productivity and profitability.
• Exceptional people leadership with a track record of developing high-performing retail teams.
• Strong understanding of stock management, replenishment, deliveries and stockroom operations.
• Highly process and efficiency-driven, with the ability to identify and implement operational improvements.
• Commercial, analytical and hands-on, with the credibility to operate at senior leadership level.
