Job summary

TANA Recruitment is assisting a leading UK Investment Management Company with its Irish operation in appointing a Head Of Risk (PCF 14). The role has a European regulatory remit and a global risk perspective, representing a strategic step in growth for the business.

You will act as the designated person for Operational Risk Management & Fund Risk, oversee UCITS funds risk across Europe and advise the UK HQ on risk matters, with a highly competitive remuneration package and clear development

Responsibilities

• Fulfil the PCF 14, DP for Operational Risk Management and Fund Risk role.
• Become the in-house subject matter expert on risk management, leveraging HQ resources as needed.
• Identify, measure and manage risks focusing on processes, people risk, cyber security, resilience and outsourcing.
• Monitor and review risk management framework for operational and investment risks and controls.
• Develop risk appetite/framework for new products, strategies or asset types.
• Ensure key risks are measured, monitored and reported to Head of Office and the Board.
• Align key risk objectives with company strategy and investment philosophy.

This role will have a European Regulatory remit and a global risk perspective. Ideally suited to someone keen to step into a Designated Person (DP) role for the 1st time and develop their career in a very high value add focused global investment management business. You will play a key role within the business unit with a functional reporting line to the Country Manager and initially fulfilling the DP for Operational Risk Management & Fund Risk role. You will cover all the risk oversight aspects of the UCITS funds business in Europe as well as playing an important part providing risk expertise to the UK based HQ business across operations and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfil the PCF 14, DP for Operational Risk Management and Fund Risk role.
• Become the in-house subject matter expert on all relevant risk management matters, leveraging HQ’s and third-party resources as needed
• Identification, measurement, and management of risks with particular focus on processes, people risk, cyber security, operational resilience, business continuity and outsourcing and appropriate risk management controls
• Ongoing monitoring, assessment, and review of the risk management framework for operational and investment risks and appropriate risk management controls
• Development of an appropriate risk appetite / framework for new products, strategies, or asset types
• Ensure that all key risks are measured and monitored appropriately, and are reported to the Head of Office and the Board to meet all regulatory and commercial expectations
• Alignment of key risk management objectives with the overall company strategy and investment philosophy
