Job summary

Echelon Data Centres is recruiting a Chief Engineer – M&E Services to oversee all data centre mechanical and electrical system operations for our new facility in Dublin, Ireland. The role reports to the Data Centre Manager and will participate in commissioning, testing and start-up procedures.

This full-time, permanent position leads technical staff, manages operations budgets, drives preventative maintenance, and ensures safety, compliance and continuous improvement of M&E services to maximise

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with 5+ in data centres.
• Apprenticeship or degree in engineering required; data centre experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee M&E services maintenance and budgeting for the facility.
• Lead technical staff and coordinate supply partners and contractors.
• Serve as SME for mechanical and electrical operations on site.
• Drive preventative maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Ensure commissioning readiness and operational handover from construction.
