Job summary

Flogas Ireland is seeking a Head of Engineering to provide strategic and functional leadership for customer and operational engineering across the LPG business on the island of Ireland. You will lead the engineering function, govern technical standards and assurance, and ensure safe, compliant delivery of installations, maintenance and projects.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering in safety-critical, regulated environments.
• Proven ability to set technical standards and make risk-based decisions.
• Strong governance, asset integrity, process safety and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing OPEX and CAPEX budgets and business cases.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication with regulators and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Set engineering strategy, operating model and annual plan.
• Act as senior engineering authority with governance and standards.
• Own the engineering management system and compliance.
• Ensure safe design, commissioning, operation and maintenance of LPG assets.
• Lead major projects and change initiatives with risk management.
• Monitor KPIs for safety, compliance, service, reliability and cost.
• Lead engineering assurance activities with regulators and inspectors.
• Direct delivery of tank installations, site upgrades and maintenance through teams and contractors.
• Develop and coach the engineering team and succession plans.
• Govern engineering contractors and budgets; drive investment prioritisation.
• Build relationships across functions and drive safety culture.
