Job summary

Irish Life Group seeks a Senior Technical Services Lead to guide Workplace Services, delivering safe, reliable hard services across headquarters and regional sites. You will head technical leadership for building systems, asset performance, and contractor delivery, ensuring compliance and operational resilience.

The role covers lifecycle planning, technical project support, and collaboration with Facilities Operations, Health & Safety, Workplace Experience, IT/AV, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree, higher diploma or recognised trade qualification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, building services engineering or a closely trade related technical discipline.
• Relevant health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.
• Formal training or certification in contractor management, permit-to-work, electrical safety or fire safety is desirable.
• Recognised energy-management or building-performance qualification is desirable.
• Training or demonstrable competence in CAFM/CMMS platforms and asset-management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical services function ensuring safe, reliable operation of building assets in line with policy and KPIs.
• Manage maintenance and asset lifecycle with outsourced providers, ensuring compliance and continuity.
• Provide oversight of HVAC, electrical, life-safety systems, lighting and building controls.
• Lead Workplace Services technicians and manage contractor/Supplier performance.
• Oversee CAFM/CMMS work orders, inspections and asset documentation.
• Coordinate incident response and root-cause analysis with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Irish legislation and internal quality standards.
• Provide technical leadership for facilities projects from design review to handover.
• Support events with technical services, energy, AV/IT requirements.
