Job summary

Sodexo Ireland in Dublin is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead a kitchen team, deliver high-quality catering services and maintain exceptional customer experience. You will manage daily production, financials and compliance, while developing your team and strengthening client relations in a fast-paced food-focused environment.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen and a passion for innovative menus, with responsibilities spanning cost control, staff development and ongoing

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience managing kitchen teams.
• Level 6 qualification or relevant culinary training.
• Experience in a compliance-driven environment.
• Proven budget and cost management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the kitchen team to high food quality, presentation and service.
• Manage daily food production and ensure on-time catering delivery.
• Control labour, food and operational costs within budget.
• Manage stock, purchasing and supplier relationships.
• Ensure food safety, health & safety, hygiene, COSHH and company procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation and new food service initiatives.
• Build strong client relationships and support excellent customer satisfaction.
• Recruit, train and develop the team and support the General Manager in their absence.

Are you an experienced Head Chef who is passionate about great food, high standards and leading a successful kitchen team? Sodexo is looking for a talented Head Chef to join our team at Dell Technologies in Dublin, leading the delivery of high-quality catering services while ensuring excellent customer experience, operational standards and financial performance.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and develop the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation and service.
• Manage daily food production and ensure catering services are delivered on time and to agreed standards.
• Control labour, food and operational costs within budget.
• Manage stock, purchasing and supplier relationships.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, Health & Safety, hygiene, COSHH and company procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation and new food service initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with the client and support excellent customer satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, motivate and develop your team, creating a positive and professional working environment.
• Support the wider operation and take responsibility for the unit in the absence of the General Manager.

• Strong commercial and financial awareness, with experience managing budgets and costs.
• Excellent knowledge of food service and current industry trends.
