Job summary

AMAX is seeking a Hardware Solutions Engineer in Ireland to bridge customer requirements with engineering execution for AI/HPC workloads. You will design GPU‑accelerated infrastructure, validate systems, and guide deployments in customer environments.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing to translate complex needs into production‑ready hardware, including server topology, interconnects, and storage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS or EEE.
• Hands-on HPC cluster or GPU-accelerated system experience.
• Strong server architecture and interconnect knowledge.
• Proficient Linux, Bash and Python scripting.
• Experience with OEM server platforms and system validation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement HPC and AI/ML infrastructure.
• Lead end-to-end solution lifecycle from pre-sales to deployment.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable architectures.
• Define BOMs, firmware tuning, and manufacturability.
• Coordinate with manufacturing for rack integration and test.
• Deliver demos and PoCs for AI workloads.
• Support cluster bring-up, OS provisioning, and job schedulers.
• Document architectures and integration guides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Stay current with AI infrastructure and HPC trends.
