Job summary

BrookLodge & Macreddin Village is seeking an hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep hotel facilities, rooms, and public areas in top condition. You will troubleshoot and perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC tasks while supporting the guest experience.

Ideal candidates will have prior maintenance or facilities experience in hospitality, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance or facilities role, preferably hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and stand for long periods.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A proactive and team-oriented attitude.
• Valid driver’s license is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of hotel facilities, guest rooms, and common areas.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
• Carry out basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working order.
• Monitor and manage building systems such as heating, lighting, and water supply.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for events or functions as required.
• Work collaboratively with housekeeping, front desk, and F&B teams to support guest needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all maintenance work areas.
• Follow health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with hotel standards and local regulations.
• Report any major maintenance issues or equipment faults to the Maintenance Manager
