Carton House in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland is recruiting a Groups, Conference and Events Sales Executive to join the Sales & Marketing team.

You will liaise with clients to oversee the development, coordination and delivery of conferences, meetings and private events, and produce detailed function sheets for each event and collaborate with our operations team to ensure the delivery meets expectations. Qualifications

• Have a real understanding of hotel operations and specifically Conference and Events.
• 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
• The ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Strong communication, negotiation and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of Opera ideal but not essential.
• A structured and organized approach to work planning

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to oversee the development, coordination and delivery of conferences, meetings and private events.
• Produce detailed function sheets for each event and collaborate with operations to ensure delivery exceeds client expectations.
• Communicate, maintain and develop new and existing client relationships.
• Manage operational and administrative functions to deliver projects efficiently.
• Ensure excellent customer service and quality of service at all times.
• Work as part of the sales team and support senior management in achieving hotel goals.
• Ensure fluid communication of all events to all hotel departments.
• Promote cross-sell of F&B outlets as appropriate.
