Events Manager Salary: €43,000 per annum Flexistaff is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Events Manager to lead the growth of their meetings, conferences, corporate events and private functions business. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Events Manager with a strong hospitality sales background who enjoys generating new business, building client relationships and maximising revenue. The successful Events Manager will play a key role in driving bookings, developing corporate accounts and representing the business at industry events throughout Ireland. The Role As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for developing and growing business across conferences, meetings, corporate events, private functions and group bookings. This is a proactive sales role requiring strong relationship-building skills, commercial awareness and a passion for delivering outstanding client experiences. The position also involves regular attendance at networking events, trade shows, exhibitions, promotional events and industry awards. Key Responsibilities Drive sales across meetings, conferences, corporate events, private functions and group bookings. Generate new business through telephone and email prospecting, networking and corporate account development. Respond promptly to enquiries and produce tailored proposals, packages and quotations. Conduct venue show rounds and manage bookings from initial enquiry through to operational handover. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients. Manage an active sales pipeline and maintain accurate CRM records. Maximise revenue opportunities through accommodation, food and beverage packages, private dining and additional event services. Represent the business at networking events, trade shows, exhibitions and promotional activities. Work closely with operational, events, food and beverage, front office and revenue teams. Provide occasional support with wedding enquiries and promotional activity during peak periods. Requirements Previous experience as an Events Manager, Meetings & Events Sales Manager, Conference Sales Manager or similar hospitality sales role. Hotel sales experience highly desirable. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering revenue growth. Experience working with corporate clients, event organisers and group bookings. Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Confident conducting client meetings, sales appointments and venue tours. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines effectively. Commercially driven with a proactive and results-focused approach. Experience using CRM, PMS or event management systems. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Flexible to attend off-site events and industry functions when required. What's Measured Meetings, events and conference revenue performance.
