Job summary

Carton House, a five-star resort and Fairmont Hotel in Ireland, seeks a Groups, Conference and Events Sales Executive to join the Sales & Marketing team on a permanent, full-time basis. Qualifications

• Have a real understanding of hotel operations, specifically Conference & Events.
• 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Strong communication, negotiation and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of Opera ideal but not essential.
• Structured and organized approach to work planning.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to oversee development, coordination and delivery of conferences, meetings and private events.
• Produce detailed function sheets for each event and coordinate with operations to exceed client expectations.
• Communicate, maintain and develop new and existing client relationships.
• Manage operational and administrative functions to deliver projects efficiently.
• Ensure excellent customer service and quality of service at all times.
• Work with the sales team and assist senior management in promoting hotel goals.
• Ensure fluid communication of events to all hotel departments.
• Promote upsell opportunities and cross-sell F&B outlets where appropriate.

We are currently recruiting aGroups, Conference and Events Sales Executive to join our Sales & Marketing team at Carton House.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to oversee the development, coordination and delivery of conferences, meetings and private events.
• To produce detailed function sheets for each event and to send out in a timely fashion - to then work in collaboration with our operations team to ensure the delivery of the event exceeds our client's expectations.
• To communicate, maintain and develop new and existing client relationships.
• Manage operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently.
• Ensuring excellent customer service and quality of service at all times.
• To work as part of the sales team; to contribute to & assist senior management in promoting hotel goals.
• Ensure there is fluid communication of all events to all hotel departments.
• To promote sell-up opportunity, cross-sell of F&B outlets as appropriate.
