Job summary

Carton House, a five-star resort and the first Fairmont Hotel collection property in Ireland, invites applications for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Maynooth. The role requires leadership, initiative and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a luxury setting.

As a key member of the F&B team, you will work closely with culinary and supervisory staff, develop training programs, and participate in promotions and events to drive guest satisfaction and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with fluent spoken and written English.
• Experience in a similar role in a 5-star resort is preferred.
• Ability to work on own initiative and adapt to shift schedules.

We currently recruiting a Assistant Restaurant Managerto join our Team at Carton House.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensures the service consistently reflects the ambiance and service standards set by the leadership team.
• Lead the team by motivating, coaching and monitoring the performance levels of all team and supervisors members.
• Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times by maintaining high staff morale and team spirit through active on the floor communication.
• Manage assigned F&B Manager on Duty responsibilities including being a point of contact for all requests.
• Ensure SERVICE is operating within the standards of LQA.
• Work together with the culinary, restaurant managers and stewarding team to ensure that all food service meets or exceeds guest expectations.
• Participate in service as necessary and ensure floor presence at key times.
• Perform daily checks on staffing level, quality control, maintenance and cleanliness for the outlet.
• Develop training programs for the restaurant to ensure continuous growth.
• Participate in the training and coaching of new and existing team members within the outlet.
• Work in conjunction with the Outlet Chef, Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Manager on promotions, menus and special events.
• Create and innovate ideas and promotions to generate revenue and improve guest satisfaction for the outlet.

Key Requirements:

• Full flexibility – this is a full-time role, flexibility and shift work is required.
• A real understanding of hotel operation.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Excellent communication skills with excellent spoken & written English.
• Outgoing, bubbly and confidence in dealing with a range of customers.
• Previous experience in a similar role in a 5 star resort.
• A structured and organized approach to work planning.
