Job summary

The group in Ireland seeks a Group Financial Controller to own the Group annual report, interim results, and IFRS consolidation. You will lead the Group audit and statutory reporting across its subsidiary network and drive acquisition accounting, including PPA and fair value, into Group reporting.

You will also lead and develop a team of 4–5 qualified accountants with direct exposure to the Group CFO and executive team.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA with Big 4 training.
• 5+ years PQE in a plc group finance function or similar.
• Experience with IFRS consolidation and complex audits.

Responsibilities

• Own the Group annual report, interim results and IFRS consolidation.
• Lead Group audit and statutory reporting across the subsidiary network.
• Oversee acquisition accounting including PPA, fair value and integration into Group reporting.
• Lead and develop a team of 4–5 qualified accountants.
• Provide visibility to the Group CFO and the executive team.

I'm working with one of Ireland's leading listed plcs — a diversified international healthcare group — on a Group Financial Controller hire. A genuinely strong role, a replacement where the current FC is moving internally.

The role:

• Ownership of Group annual report, interim results and IFRS consolidation
• Lead Group audit and statutory reporting across the subsidiary network
• Acquisition accounting — PPA, fair value, integration into Group reporting
• Lead and develop a team of 4–5 qualified accountants
• Visibility to Group CFO and exec team

You:

• ACA or ACCA, Big 4 trained, 5+ years PQE
• Experience inside a plc Group finance function — IFRS consolidation, complex audit
• Strong systems — SAP BPC a real advantage
