Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment partners with a multinational group based in Dublin West to appoint a Head of Group Financial Reporting. The role offers hybrid working and will own statutory and technical accounting, leading the group reporting function and a team of professionals.

You will oversee external reporting, consolidation across entities, and the group audit, while driving improvements in controls and automation and supporting potential M&A activity.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) trained in a Big 4 practice
• 5+ years post-qualification experience in industry
• Strong technical accounting knowledge across IFRS, consolidations, statutory reporting and financial controls

Responsibilities

• Lead group external reporting, including annual and interim financial statements, ensuring IFRS and regulatory compliance
• Manage the group audit process and oversee subsidiary statutory reporting across multiple entities, local and international
• Own the month-end close and consolidated management reporting process
• Strengthen balance sheet control, reporting accuracy and financial governance across the group
• Drive improvements across reporting processes, systems and internal controls, with focus on standardisation and automation
• Support M&A activity including acquisition accounting and post-deal financial integration
• Manage a team of qualified accountants

As a result of internal progression, they are now hiring for a senior finance professional to take ownership of the Group Financial Reporting function, based at their offices in Dublin West.

What will your role involve:

In this business critical senior role, you will take ownership for the financial reporting function of the business, with a strong focus on statutory and technical accounting.

Key duties will include:

• Lead group external reporting, including annual and interim financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements
• Manage the group audit process and oversee subsidiary statutory reporting across multiple entities, both local and international
• Own the month-end close and consolidated management reporting process
• Strengthen balance sheet control, reporting accuracy and financial governance across the group

Is this you?

• Qualified Accountant, (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) who has trained in a Big 4 practice
• At least 5 years post qualification experience in industry is essential for this role. This position will not suit someone making their first move from practice.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge across IFRS, consolidations, statutory reporting and financial controls is essential for this role.
