Job summary

HireForce is recruiting a Group Financial Accountant for its Dublin City office. This hands-on role offers exposure to group reporting, investment structures, and portfolio companies within a small, entrepreneurial team.

You will work closely with senior decision-makers and have genuine responsibility and visibility across the wider group. The ideal candidate will come from a Big 4 or Top 10 background with strong financial reporting and technical accounting experience, able to manage multiple

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for the group.
• Manage group consolidations and reporting across entities.
• Prepare annual financial statements and support external audits.
• Monitor financial performance of investments and portfolio companies.
• Assist with accounting of SPVs and intercompany transactions.
• Support cash management and banking activities.
• Provide financial analysis to support investment and commercial decisions.
• Assist with due diligence and ad hoc projects.

Group Financial Accountant - Private Equity - Dublin City - Flexible Hybrid Working

HireForce is working with a successful Irish private investment company to recruit a Group Financial Accountant for its Dublin City office. Operating in a similar way to a family office, the company manages a diverse portfolio of investments across Ireland and Europe. Its interests span renewable energy, property, hospitality and a range of established SME businesses.

This is a broad, hands-on position within a small and experienced team. The successful candidate will gain exposure to group reporting, investment structures, portfolio companies and commercial projects—working closely with senior decision-makers across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts across the group
• Managing group consolidations and reporting across multiple entities
• Preparing annual financial statements and supporting the external audit process
• Monitoring the financial performance of investments and portfolio companies
• Preparing budgets, forecasts and cash-flow reports
• Managing intercompany balances and transactions
• Supporting cash management, funding requirements and banking activities
• Assisting with the accounting and administration of investment holding companies and SPVs
• Liaising with portfolio company management teams and external advisers
• Supporting tax compliance and other statutory reporting requirements
• Providing financial analysis to support investment and commercial decisions
• Assisting with acquisitions, disposals, due diligence and other ad hoc projects
• Identifying opportunities to strengthen controls and improve reporting processes

The ideal candidate will have:

• Trained within a Big 4, Top 10 or reputable accounting firm
• Strong financial reporting and technical accounting experience
• Experience working with group structures, consolidations or multiple entities
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
• A commercially minded, proactive and hands-on approach
• The ability to manage a varied workload within a small, entrepreneurial environment
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
