Job summary

Morgan McKinley is partnering with an established Irish organisation to recruit a Group Accountant for its Shannon finance team. The role reports to the Financial Controller and requires a qualified accountant with at least five years post-qualification experience to own group accounting and reporting across several legal entities.

The successful candidate will ensure accurate, timely financial information, support the development of the finance function and provide insight to senior management.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with PQE in multi-entity groups.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and reporting experience.
• Experience coordinating group consolidation and intercompany activity.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• Commercially aware with proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial accounting and reporting across multiple group entities.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts with timely reporting.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes to deadlines.
• Oversee group consolidation, intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
• Maintain balance sheet controls, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
• Coordinate annual financial statements and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory obligations.
• Identify improvements to processes, controls and reporting structures.
• Collaborate with Financial Controller on ad hoc projects.
