The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timely delivery of financial information, supporting the ongoing development of the finance function and providing valuable financial insight to senior management. We are keen to speak with commercially minded, technically strong accountants who have experience working in a multi-entity environment and are comfortable managing a varied and hands-on accounting remit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the financial accounting and reporting activities across multiple group entities.

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are met.

  • Prepare and oversee group consolidation activities, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.

  • Maintain strong balance sheet controls, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and fixed asset accounting.

  • Oversee intercompany accounting and ensure balances are reconciled and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and coordinate the external audit process.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, statutory obligations and financial reporting requirements.

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting structures and internal controls.

  • Work closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team on ad hoc financial projects and business initiatives.

Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

  • Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience.

  • Demonstrable experience managing the accounting and reporting requirements of multiple legal entities.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with month-end and year-end reporting.

  • Experience with group consolidations and intercompany accounting would be highly beneficial.

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Commercially aware, proactive and solutions-focused.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage with stakeholders across the business.

  • Comfortable working in a hands-on role while also taking ownership and responsibility for key financial deliverables.

What's on Offer?
  • Opportunity to join an established and reputable Irish organisation.

  • A key position within the finance function, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

  • Broad exposure to group-level financial operations and multiple business entities.

  • Opportunity to contribute to process improvements and the continued development of the finance function.

  • Competitive remuneration package.

  • Hybrid working model.

This position is open to candidates from a variety of industry backgrounds. Experience within aviation, real estate, property or other asset-intensive sectors would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
