Job summary

Barden | B Corp is seeking an experienced Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) to join the finance team on a 6-month contract as Group Accountant in Ireland. The role offers flexible hybrid working, with remote work allowed for the full 6-month period.

You will support month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, management accounts, regulatory returns, and liaise with external auditors. Strong Excel and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Broad financial accounting experience, ideally within a group environment.
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines and prioritising multiple tasks.
• Self-starter who is accurate, adaptable, and solution focused.
• Strong Excel and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the month-end close process and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and analyse variances to budget and prior year.
• Prepare regulatory and statutory returns.
• Support year-end reporting and the statutory financial statements.
• Liaise with external auditors to keep the business audit ready.
• Partner with internal teams, providing insight to support cost optimisation.

Our client is an Irish, family-owned business who are are looking for an experienced Qualified Accountant (0-3+ years PQE) to join their finance team on a 6-month contract as Group Accountant, in a role that offers exposure to all aspects of group finance.

While they have an office and offer hybrid working, they are happy for the successful applicant to work remotely for the 6 month period.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Joining at a time of positive strategic growth, you will become a core part of a finance team supporting that growth, with potential exposure to M&A activity. The role offers flexible hybrid working and the chance to make an immediate impact.
