Job summary

TOM People exclusive client partner seeks a Group Accountant to join a high-growth finance team in Wicklow. This newly created role offers broad exposure to group accounting, consolidation, and external audits in a dynamic environment.

Ideal candidates are early-career accountants with 0-2 PQE, Big 4/Top 10 training, advanced Excel skills, and strong communication with stakeholders. Hybrid work model, based in Wicklow, 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 0-2 years PQE.
• Big 4 or Top 10 trained preferred.
• Strong financial reporting and technical accounting experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual group financial reporting.
• Support the group consolidation process.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate external audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Enhance financial controls, processes and reporting capabilities.
• Partner with stakeholders to provide financial insight and analysis.
• Support strategic finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

TOM People are delighted to be exclusively partnering with our client a multinational high growth organisation to identify a Group Accountant to join their finance team. This is in a newly created role to facilitate growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-stage ambitious accounting professional to take on a broad accounting role within a dynamic and growing organisation.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual group financial reporting
• Supporting the group consolidation process
• Preparation of statutory financial statements and coordination of external audits
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Assisting with the enhancement of financial controls, processes and reporting capabilities
• Partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and analysis
• Supporting strategic finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
