Job summary

Lumen Search Ltd. is seeking an experienced Foreman to oversee groundworks and civil packages across residential developments in Cavan.

This hands-on, site-based role requires a strong background in drainage, utilities and external works, with the ability to manage crews and coordinate works from initial site development through to completion. You will be responsible for day-to-day on-site operations, coordinating labour, plant and subcontractors while ensuring works are delivered safely,

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Civil Foreman, Groundworks Foreman or General Foreman.
• Strong background in groundworks and civil engineering works.
• Residential development experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to read drawings and understand site levels and sequencing of works.
• Good knowledge of construction health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day groundworks and civil activities on residential sites.
• Supervise groundworkers, machine operators and other site personnel.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Oversee drainage, utilities, ducting, foundations and associated groundworks.
• Manage road construction, kerbing, footpaths and external works.
• Plan upcoming works and ensure sufficient labour, plant and materials are available.
• Work closely with Site Engineers and project management to maintain programme.
• Read and work from construction drawings and site plans.
• Monitor quality and ensure works are completed to the required specifications.
• Maintain high health & safety standards across all site activities.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day site issues to keep works progressing.

An established groundworks contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Foreman to oversee groundworks and civil packages across residential developments in Cavan. This is a hands-on, site-based position suited to someone with a strong background in groundworks, drainage, utilities and residential infrastructure who is comfortable managing crews and coordinating works from initial site development through to completion.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of works on site, coordinating labour, plant and subcontractors while ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme.
