Job summary

Amazon Inc. in London, Dublin, Madrid or Frankfurt is seeking a Senior Grid Delivery Manager to lead large HV/MV grid interconnection projects across EMEA from design to energization, coordinating design engineering, construction, planning, environmental and real estate teams to meet tight deadlines.

You will report on project risks at senior levels, drive process standardization, develop tools for delivery, and support budgeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management or similar technical focus.
• Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment.
• Experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• 5+ years of experience in building power substations working with Utilities and understanding their environment and culture.
• Experience in analyzing cost/benefit trade-offs across a strategic portfolio, and demonstrated understanding of how to successfully transact business in multiple cultural contexts as well as experience directly managing international teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• The AWS Infrastructure Energy Team (IET) is seeking a results-orientated individual to join in the role of Grid Delivery Manager.
• In this role you will be responsible for delivering large-scale critical HV/ MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines.
• The candidate will need to possess strong communication skills, and ability to deliver with diverse teams such as design engineering, construction, planning, environmental and real estate teams, to ensure delivery to tight timelines.
• Stakeholder management and weekly reporting on key project risks & issues at senior management, director and vice president level will be the candidate’s responsibility.
