Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Rail Engineer to support the design, development and delivery of rail projects in Ireland. You will assist with data analysis, design calculations, 3D modelling and interdisciplinary coordination to deliver sustainable transport solutions.

The role offers involvement in DART+ Coastal and other rail initiatives, with opportunities to contribute across civil and railway disciplines while developing technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Level 8 or above) or studying towards a Master's/PhD in Civil, Mechanical, Railway, Transportation or Structural Engineering.
• Interest in rail and sustainable transport development.
• Strong written and oral communication and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Support Permanent Way design with data analysis, design calculations and drawings production.
• Assist drafting of specifications, proposals and investigations and prepare reports.
• Support cross-disciplinary work to enable integrated designs using the latest software tools.
• Contribute creativity to design by applying best practices.
