Job summary

Arup in Ireland is seeking a Graduate Roads & Streets Engineer to help create safer, more sustainable transport networks. You will work with industry-leading specialists on road, streets, active travel and public transport projects across Ireland and beyond.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering or Engineering with a Transportation/Highways specialism.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• A passion for transport, infrastructure and sustainable mobility.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• An interest in designing places that positively impact communities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of technical designs, drawings, reports and specifications.
• Support the design of road alignments, streetscapes, active travel facilities and drainage infrastructure.
• Contribute to research and the development of transport design standards and guidance.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, standards and quality requirements.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver projects.
• Support project delivery while maintaining high standards of health, safety and technical excellence.
