Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Rail Engineer to join its rail team in Dublin, contributing to the design, development and delivery of critical rail infrastructure. You will support the Permanent Way design with data analysis, calculations and 3D modelling, assist with specifications and reports, and help deliver integrated designs using the latest tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Level 8 or above) in Civil, Mechanical or Transportation Engineering or studying towards a Master's/PhD.
• Strong interest in rail industry and sustainable transport.
• Detail oriented with good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Permanent Way design team with data analysis, design calculations and project drawings/3D models.
• Assist with drafting specifications, technical proposals and investigations; prepare reports.
• Support cross-disciplinary work to enable integrated designs using modern software tools.
• Contribute creativity to applying best practices in design.
