Job summary

Verizon Communications in Ireland is seeking a Graduate QA Tester within the Global Supply Chain, Sourcing and Sustainability group. You will collaborate with Developers, UAT, E2E teams and PMO, defining test scenarios and executing tests to ensure high quality deliverables in a hybrid work setup.

The role emphasizes automation, DevOps/Agile tools, test reports, and continuous delivery excellence, with emphasis on strong communication and the ability to work in Agile/SAFe environments.

Qualifications

• Recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• A related co-op or internship experience, with proven project and work experience (a portfolio is helpful).
• Knowledge of automation tools, developing software test plans, managing defects lifecycle using standard tools.
• To be considered for this role, applicants must already hold a valid right to work in Ireland. We are currently unable to support employment permit sponsorship.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Experience in working in Agile/SAFe teams.
• Experience with testing principles applying different testing techniques to deliver a High Quality product.
• Ability to adopt an automation first approach and execute the automation test strategies.
• Collaboration skills to manage the peers, partners and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of quality engineers, partners like Developers, SME and Architect on test activities for deliverables.
• Defining test scenarios, test cases, executing of tests, publish test reports for given set of requirements.
• Working on automation using standard test automation tools for the respective area of work.
• Utilizing the testing lifecycles tools, DevOps/Agile tools for day-to-day operations, status reporting and to collaborate with other partners.
• Improving the overall delivery excellence by working through project dynamics.
