Job summary

Motorola Solutions Ireland Limited in Cork is seeking a self-driven QA Engineer to strengthen our software development quality assurance process. You will manually test software by analyzing product specs, executing targeted test cases, and reporting defects.

Working in an Agile Scrum environment, you will collaborate with developers and test managers, set up environments, track issues, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with Agile Scrum and regression testing is preferred.
• Familiarity with coding languages and test management tools such as ALM.

Responsibilities

• Understand product requirements and matching test cases.
• Set up Test Environment in preparation for test cases execution.
• Execute test cases, analyze results and report all detected issues/defects.
• Track reported issues/defects.
• Collaborate with other team members and test managers.
• Keep abreast of industry standards and newest testing methodologies and tools.
• Support the Test Manager in achieving their strategic goals for the Test Team; provide technical know-how, documentation and training to test and other business functions.
