Job summary

The Company

The business is looking for someone at the very start of their career - just out of college or with around one year's experience - who wants to learn the commercial side of structural steel from people who know the industry.

The Role

You will be supported as you learn how a structural steel project moves from an initial enquiry through to a price that can actually win the work.

You will:

• Build up material, fabrication, labour and associated project costs.

The Candidate

This role is specifically for someone at the beginning of their construction career.

Must have:

• Recently completed, or be within one year of completing, a relevant degree in Ireland.
• Degree must be in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• Ideally looking to build a long-term career in structural steel estimating.
• Good understanding of construction principles gained through your studies.
• Comfortable working with numbers, drawings and project information.
• Based in Cavan or within a realistic daily commute.

Previous estimating experience is not essential. The key requirement is the right degree, the right location and a genuine interest in learning the structural steel side of the industry.
