Job summary

Greenfield Global Ireland is seeking a Production Operator to join our Operations team in Portlaoise, Co. Laois.

This role focuses on the safe, efficient operation of plant equipment and processes, including dispensing, blending, setup, filling, and loading/unloading. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of operator experience on complex processes, GMP site experience desirable, data recording and SOP writing skills, and knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of operator experience on complex processes.
• GMP site experience desirable.
• Record and analyse process data for decisions.
• Experience writing or revising SOPs.
• Experience in process development or commissioning of new plant.
• Handling hazardous chemicals. Familiar with permits and Safe Systems of Work.
• Basic maintenance and use of hand tools.
• Lean Six Sigma / Kaizen methods used to solve issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support safe, efficient plant equipment and processes.
• Dispense, thin/blend, set up equipment and handle filling/packaging tasks; assist loading/unloading finished goods.
• Operate on-site mobile equipment such as forklifts when required.
• Perform plant checks, respond to alarms, fault finding and first-line maintenance.
• May involve shift work to support business volumes.
• Follow written and verbal instructions in a busy factory environment.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Environmental regulations; maintain good document practices.
