Job summary

Next Generation is seeking an Engineering Specialist - Calibration Planner & Scheduler to coordinate calibration and gas detection activities across manufacturing, laboratories, utilities, warehouse, and support functions in a GMP-regulated environment.

You will own planning and scheduling, develop recurring calibration schedules, manage the backlog, liaise with external vendors, lead daily calibration meetings, and maintain KPI dashboards to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in planning, scheduling, maintenance, calibration, or engineering support.
• Experience in a GMP environment.
• Familiarity with SAP or CMMS/EAM systems.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and calibration practices.
• Experience with regulated manufacturing (pharma/medical devices).
• Familiarity with ProCal or equivalent calibration management systems.
• Understanding of GMP, data integrity, and ALCOA+ principles.
• Experience supporting regulatory inspections or readiness.
• Experience with contractor/vendor coordination and work-order management.

Responsibilities

• Own the planning and scheduling of calibration and gas detection activities.
• Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual calibration schedules.
• Coordinate calibration activities across site functions.
• Create, plan, release, and manage calibration work orders using SAP or CMMS/EAM systems.
• Manage the calibration backlog and drive timely work-order closure.
• Coordinate external calibration vendors.
• Lead daily calibration meetings and maintain calibration KPI dashboards.
• Support instrument lifecycle management.
• Maintain documentation supporting GMP compliance, audit readiness, and regulatory inspections.
• Identify and implement improvements to planning, scheduling, and work-management processes.
