Job summary

BioMarin is seeking a Director, Value Chain Product Leader, Global Supply Chain, based in Shanbally, Ringaskiddy. Hybrid role with 2 days onsite weekly.

You will design, operate, and continuously improve a best-in-class value chain that connects patients to medicines, guiding product strategy and governance across Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics and external partners. The role requires 8–12+ years in materials management and production planning, plus 2–5+ years leading global teams,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, supply chain, or business administration.
• 8–12+ years in materials management, production planning/scheduling and 2–5+ years leading global teams.
• Strong supply chain/ value chain management expertise and ERP systems knowledge.
• Understanding of GMP/GCP regulatory frameworks and risk management.
• Executive-level communication and influence-based leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end value chain design, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure reliable supply across clinical and commercial stages and meet service targets.
• Drive lifecycle management roadmap, balancing lead time, cost and resilience.
• Define product/network strategies including SKU and inventory management.
• Identify investments to support growth, resilience and sustainability.
• Lead risk mitigation, business continuity, and supply risk management.
• Own inventory health and cost drivers; enable data-driven decisions.
• Build partnerships with Commercial, Clinical, Technical Operations and Finance.
