Job summary

BioMarin is seeking a Director of Global Sourcing and Procurement for its Cork/Dublin hybrid network. You will lead strategic sourcing for external CMOs, manage a high-performance team, and align cross-functional stakeholders across BioMarin’s manufacturing and regulatory landscape.

The role requires 10+ years in biopharma sourcing, strong negotiation, and deep regulatory knowledge, with leadership experience in matrixed global environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in sourcing, category management, and contract negotiations for contract manufacturing in biopharma.
• Experience managing CMO relationships with biologics and small molecule processes.
• Proven experience building and leading sourcing teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with cross-functional and executive partners.
• Experience navigating regulatory frameworks (FDA cGMP, EMA GMP) and supply chain resilience.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing for external CMOs, developing category strategies to deliver savings.
• Coach and develop a high-performance sourcing team.
• Perform CMO due diligence on capabilities, regulatory compliance, and IP structures.
• Lead contract negotiations, SLAs, QAs, and tech transfer protocols.
• Partner with External Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams to align strategies.
• Build diversified supplier networks and risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide executive reporting on savings and supplier performance.
