Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking an International Tax Assistant Manager to join our growing International Tax team. You will work with a diverse portfolio of multinational clients, supporting their global tax compliance obligations and advising on a broad range of international tax matters.

Working closely with directors and partners, you will deliver high-quality compliance and advisory services while developing strong client relationships and supporting the practice’s growth.

Qualifications

• CTA qualified (ACA/ACCA desirable).
• 2-3 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of corporation tax and international tax.
• Experience with multinational groups.
• Tax reporting experience; understanding of deferred tax.
• Knowledge of IP regimes and R&D tax incentives beneficial.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clients.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive approach with strong commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing the corporate tax compliance process for a portfolio of multinational clients.
• Support global clients with their international tax compliance requirements.
• Assist with international tax advisory and structuring projects.
• Coordinate with Grant Thornton international network to handle cross-border client work.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide practical commercial solutions.
• Undertake technical research on complex international tax matters.
• Prepare reports, technical advice and client correspondence.
• Assist with proposals, tenders and business development opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues across the network.
• Support and coach junior team members where appropriate.
