Job summary

A partner company in Ireland is seeking a Manager, Payroll Operations to lead a global payroll function and a team of specialists across multiple regions. The role focuses on accuracy, compliance, and scalable delivery in a remote-first, distributed setup.

You will work with Finance, Legal, People Operations and Product teams, drive process improvements, and support country launches and payroll transformations. Fluent English is required; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience owning payroll outcomes for a team in multi-country environments.
• Demonstrated people leadership, coaching, performance management, and team development.
• Strong ability to interpret and apply payroll policies, controls, and processes.
• Experience working with external payroll vendors and managing operational relationships.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a payroll team across countries to deliver accurate, compliant payroll.
• Own payroll outcomes for assigned country portfolios with timely delivery.
• Maintain knowledge of country-specific payroll policies and controls.
• Investigate complex payroll issues and drive resolutions.
• Support global payroll implementations and country launches.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, People Ops, Product, Service teams.
• Monitor KPIs, service levels, and quality metrics.
