Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cork, Ireland is seeking a Global Fixed Asset Accountant to join the Global Finance team. You will manage global fixed assets and intangible assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and local GAAPs.

You will lead depreciation, disposals and impairment analyses, drive process automation, and partner with R2R, tax, operations and corporate accounting across regions. The role emphasizes governance, controls, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Excellent SAP knowledge or equivalent ERP experience.
• Demonstrated multinational experience.
• Accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, etc.
• Experience in fixed asset accounting principles.
• Strong expertise in US GAAP with knowledge of local GAAP differences across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Own global fixed asset accounting and reporting, including depreciation, disposals and impairment.
• Drive change via automation and system optimization in fixed asset and intangible asset accounting.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close for fixed assets and intangibles with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Establish governance framework and manage financial risk for the global team.
• Act as primary contact for auditors, ensuring robust internal controls and documentation.
• Collaborate with R2R, business finance, operations, tax and corporate accounting across regions.
• Prepare asset schedules and reconciliations; report with Corporate accounting.
