Job summary

Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a statutory accounting specialist in Ireland. The role interfaces management reporting, legal entities, and group reporting, applying US GAAP, IFRS and FRS 102 across multinational data.

Hybrid work model across Dublin or Letterkenny with flexible arrangements; you will drive technical accounting, disclosures, reconciliations and audit support while advancing automation and data governance.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification including CAI, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Proven extensive post-qualification experience in large, complex multinational organisations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and FRS 102.
• Experience in statutory financial statement prep, technical accounting and external audit support.
• Ability to connect management and segment reporting to statutory accounts.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation/review of statutory and legal entity financial statements under US GAAP, IFRS, FRS 102.
• Prepare disclosures, reconciliations and audit evidence for statutory reporting.
• Provide technical accounting conclusions and ensure governance compliance.
• Act as statutory accounting SME linking management reporting to statutory accounts.
• Support capitalised software, project costs and asset recognition.
• Drive automation, data governance and AI-enabled improvements in reporting.
