Job summary

PepTalk, an Irish-based workforce intelligence platform for construction sites, seeks an Accounts Assistant to join the Finance team. You will manage day-to-day financial administration for Europe and the USA, handling AP/AR, invoicing, reconciliations and journal postings.

This hybrid role offers visibility across the business, exposure to multi-entity finance, and opportunities to contribute to month-end close.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in a busy finance department within a growing business.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Xero; experience with invoicing, payments, reconciliations.
• Excellent organisational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to spot and resolve inconsistencies.
• Able to work on own initiative and manage recurring tasks across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices for Irish and US companies.
• Prepare invoices for payment with appropriate backups and approvals.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and bank reconciliations.
• Post day-to-day transactions across all banks and post journals (salary, pensions, accruals).
• Assist with month-end reconciliations and close.
• Maintain the finance inbox and liaise with internal/external stakeholders.
