Job summary

GE HealthCare in Ireland seeks a Global Procurement Category Lead - External Manufacturing to steer sourcing for CMOs, shape procurement strategies, and drive cost reductions across the globe. You'll negotiate, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure compliant, timely delivery.

This role demands deep experience in external manufacturing, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with SAP Ariba and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Progressive global procurement experience focused on external manufacturing.
• Proven record in negotiations, large spend categories, cost savings.
• Understanding of ISO 13485, GMP and medical device regulations.
• Proficiency with SAP Ariba and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop global procurement strategies for external manufacturing (CMOs).
• Lead complex negotiations with suppliers to secure terms and SLAs.
• Conduct market analysis, supplier evaluations, and risk assessments.
• Maintain relationships with external manufacturing partners and drive collaboration.
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations.
• Drive supplier performance through reviews and KPIs.
• Manage contract lifecycle for external manufacturing agreements.
• Lead strategic supplier consolidation and dual-sourcing initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends and geopolitical factors.
