Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering in Ireland seeks a senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering datacenter design and build projects. The role requires coordination across engineering, construction, safety, quality, and client interfaces to meet schedule and budget targets.

You will manage complex, high-value projects (≈€100M+) in a fast-paced environment, with international travel and strong emphasis on integrity, safety, and compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills.
• High level of proficiency in commercial/industrial architecture with a datacenter focus.
• Ability to work with diverse groups in a fast-paced environment.
• Integrity, methodical and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
• Lead teams of engineers on large datacenter projects (Design & Build / Design/Bid/Build).
• Contract negotiation skills with focus on safety and quality.
• Able to deliver in fast-paced settings with a proactive mindset.
• Knowledge of local building codes and jurisdictional standards.
• Proficient with MS Office; capable in technical document preparation.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit/Navisworks for design coordination.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Experience on large-scale projects around €100M; DB and DBB delivery.
• Data centre/mission critical experience (5–10 years).
• Direct design/commissioning experience (5–10 years).
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, security/monitoring and fire systems.
• Knowledge of standard design/construction practices and contracts.
• Familiarity with basic building code requirements.
