Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering in Ireland seeks a senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering datacenter design and build projects. The role requires coordination across engineering, construction, safety, quality, and client interfaces to meet schedule and budget targets.

You will manage complex, high-value projects (≈€100M+) in a fast-paced environment, with international travel and strong emphasis on integrity, safety, and compliance with codes and standards.

• Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit/Navisworks for design coordination.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Experience on large-scale projects around €100M; DB and DBB delivery.
• Data centre/mission critical experience (5–10 years).
• Direct design/commissioning experience (5–10 years).
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, security/monitoring and fire systems.
• Knowledge of standard design/construction practices and contracts.
• Familiarity with basic building code requirements.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

• Ability to lead teams of engineers in advanced engineering and construction processes and procedures as they relate to large datacenter environments

• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and jurisdictional standards
• Ability to prepare and present using MS office packages
• Computer literate in the use of AutoCAD and Revit/Navisworks
• Able to travel domestically and internationally
• Large scale project experience (100M per project) delivering Design & Build, and Design/Bid/Build type projects
• Demonstrate a good track record in data centre / mission critical section (typically 5-10 years of experience).
• Direct design and/or commissioning experience (typically 5-10 years of experience).
• Excellent understanding of advanced electrical, mechanical, security/monitoring, and fire detection/suppression systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry.
• General knowledge of design and construction terms and principles and contracts.
• Familiarity with basic building code requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree AND experience in engineering, project/technical program management OR equivalent experience.
• Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
• This role requires proficiency in written, reading, and conversational English as all business operations as well as customer communications are conducted in English.
