Job summary

Primark in Ireland is seeking a Change Communications Manager to lead strategic internal communications for major change and transformation programmes. You will partner with senior leaders and project teams to shape clear, consistent messaging that drives colleague engagement and readiness across markets.

You’ll develop multi-channel strategies, support risk and crisis communications, and mentor junior colleagues while collaborating with People & Culture, Strategy, and Transformation teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in communications, focused on global, large-scale change and transformation programmes.
• Proven ability to operate within complex, fast-moving environments (e.g., retail, FMCG).
• Ability to translate complex or technical topics into accessible, compelling narratives.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with experience advising senior leaders.
• Prosci Change Management certification or equivalent desirable, but not essential.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to distil complex information into clear messages.
• Experience in crisis communications and managing communications under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver multi-channel communication strategies for major change initiatives.
• Shape and maintain a consistent transformation narrative with relevant partners.
• Advise senior leaders on change communications and organisational readiness.
• Collaborate with People & Culture, Strategy and Transformation teams to align training and comms.
• Design and implement communication frameworks, tools, and assets to strengthen capability.
• Measure and report on effectiveness of change communications with insights for executives.
• Coach leaders and project sponsors on communications during change and participate in governance forums.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, supporting crisis communications as required.
