Job summary

John Paul Construction, an international technical contractor, is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant with German language skills to join our Dublin team. You will process supplier invoices, verify codes, maintain records, and support audits, while liaising with suppliers and internal teams.

The role requires prior AP experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent attention to detail. This is a permanent position offering career development within a growing Irish-owned company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable or Finance Assistant roles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• German language skills (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and credit notes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Verify and code invoices to GL accounts and cost centres.
• Enter invoice details into accounting systems accurately.
• Respond to supplier queries and manage account changes.
• Maintain and archive invoice data and assist with audits.
• Reconcile supplier accounts with statements and assist with nominal reconciliations.
• Handle bank postings and direct debits.
• Provide admin support to the finance team and manage the AP mailbox.
• Manage rental properties and utilities invoices for employees on assignment.
