Job summary

Arup is seeking a Work Placement Geotechnical Engineer to join the Ground Engineering team in Cork, Dublin, or Limerick, Ireland. You’ll assist with desk studies, site assessments, and ground investigations while learning from experienced professionals.

You will contribute to geotechnical design tasks across infrastructure, energy and environmental projects, and prepare technical reports and environmental documentation with guidance from mentors.

Qualifications

• Working towards an undergraduate or master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnics, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Geological, hydrogeological and geotechnical desk studies and site assessments.
• Interpretation of ground investigations including drilling and logging.
• Geotechnical design for foundations, slopes and ground improvement.
• Prepare technical ground reports and EIA/environmental documentation.
• Collaborate with specialists from other disciplines on sustainable solutions.
